Expedition Log Homes offers a selection of five log styles, featuring kiln-dried logs and air-dried logs. Descriptions of each are located below.

Kiln-Dried Handcrafted Log

Kiln-dried logs ensure stability and eliminates any insects or bacteria that may be in the wood. The premium product is handcrafted with a draw-knife an cut from the heart of the log.

  • Available in 6", 8" and 10" profiles.
  • Mix of Norway Pine and Northern White Pine

Air-Dried Swedish Cope Log

Probably the tightest fitting style, the Swedish Cope log is precision machined to a uniform size. Each log is coped at the bottom to fit snugly over the log below. We complete the process by handcrafting with a draw-knife to showcase the beauty and character of the wood.

  • Available in 8", 10", 12" and 14" profiles.
  • Mix of Norway Pine and Northern White Pine

Air-Dried Handcrafted Log

Handcrafted with a draw-knife and cut from the heart of the log. This log features a rustic appearance.

  • Available in 6", 8", and 10" profiles.
  • Mix of Norway Pine, Northern White Cedar and Northern White Pine

Kiln-Dried Pioneer Log

Achieve the rustic look of the pioneer days with this flat log. Rough sawn for exterior application and smooth planed for interior, this beautiful log is a favorite for accenting interior walls and providing a flat surface for decorating. A beveled edge created with a draw-knife is provided for caulk or chinking applications.

  • Available in 6", 8" and 10" profiles.
  • Mix of Norway Pine and Northern White Pine

Kiln-Dried Cabin Log

Ideal for the budget conscious family, cabin log offers a smaller profile and a more contemporary look.

  • Available in 7" and 9" profiles.
